This innovative Green Belt training program combines traditional classroom-based teaching with multimedia instruction to provide participants and employers with an effective, convenient, and cost-efficient introduction to the Six Sigma methodology and tools. Using detailed training material, one-on-one correspondence, and internet applications, Green Belt candidates will be closely led through a well-structured, supervised series of study topics, discussions, exercises, and self-evaluation quizzes over a two-week period. This will prepare the participant for the three days of classroom training that follow, in which the qualitative Six Sigma tools will be reviewed and the statistical tools will be studied in-depth.
This training plan gives each participant the flexibility to adjust his/her amount of study time on each topic to ensure a good understanding prior to moving to the next DMAIC phase or tool. This plan also results in more individual attention and a higher level of retention of the material than is typical with the traditional forty-hour weeks in a classroom setting.
StatSoft also offers other training courses worldwide, such as Six Sigma Statistics - Basic, Six Sigma Statistics - Expert, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, and many others.

Six Sigma Brown Belt Training
Description
The Brown Belt training program goes beyond the areas covered in the Green Belt training and is similar in content to traditional Black Belt courses. This program exposes the participant to the advanced statistical tools (especially in the Analysis and Improvement phases) that are used to improve processes at the Black Belt project level. Participants will spend 2½ weeks being closely led through an intensive series of study topics, discussions, exercises, and self-evaluation quizzes. Participants will then spend a full week reviewing the qualitative Six Sigma tools and studying the advanced statistical tools in-depth.
The goal of this course is to provide the participant with the ability to not only lead process improvement projects as is done in the Green Belt course, but also to apply the wide variety of statistical DMAIC tools in the Six Sigma Black Belt certification body of knowledge. Participants are required to use their own real processes and process data throughout the training, but are not required complete a Six Sigma project during the course. Rather, this course focuses on providing the participants with an understanding of what statistical tools are available, where they are typically applied in the DMAIC process, and how these tools are frequently used in Six Sigma Black Belt projects.
After completing this Brown Belt training, a typical progression for the participant would be to complete two Six Sigma projects in the participant's workplace and then be certified as a Black Belt by the participant's employer or sit for a Black Belt certification exam.
StatSoft also offers other training courses worldwide, such as Six Sigma Statistics - Basic, Six Sigma Statistics - Expert, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, and many others.
